SELECIONADOS 2020 SELECTIONS 2020
Após a visualização de mais de 200 vídeos, chegamos finalmente a um consenso no número de selecionados: 45 filmes. Como é habitual, a seleção toma como referência duas áreas de intervenção ao nível da vídeo arte: a performance e o filme experimental. A referida seleção procura abarcar um vasto leque de artistas, sejam já velhos conhecidos, como novos valores que despontam a toda a hora, de variada formação e intervenção. Procura-se, desta forma, dar uma expressão mais acurada de toda a versatilidade da vídeo arte e do seu impacto nas comunidades digitais. Um dos temas de referência é a pandemia, mas quisemos, nesta seleção, ir muito para além dela, mostrando que a vida e o dia-a-dia continua apesar desta nova ameaça que paira sobre todos nós.
After viewing more than 200 videos, we finally reached a consensus on the number of selected: 45 films. As usual, a selection to be made as a reference two areas of intervention at the level of video art: a performance and the experimental film. The selection team seeks to encompass a wide range of artists, whether they are already known as new values that emerge all the time. varied training and intervention. In this way, we seek to give a more accurate expression of all the versatility of video art and its impact on digital communities. One of the reference themes is a pandemic, but, in this selection, we wanted to go far beyond it, showing that life and daily life continues despite this new threat that hangs over us all.
