Desafio Videolab#1 | Videolab Challenge#1

O Projecto Videolab convida todos os realizadores a apresentar uma curta-metragem com as seguintes características:

• duração: cinco (5) minutos
• não deverá incluir figuração humana
• prazo de entrega: 30 de Setembro
• Apenas serão aceites trabalhos realizados em 2007.

• O corpo humano está subentendido, quer pelos movimentos da câmara, quer por elementos que os realizadores incluam e que remetam para a presença física de um ou mais seres humanos

• Com esta proposta pretende-se recolher trabalhos nos quais o corpo humano esteja ausente em termos de imagem figurativa, mas, em simultâneo, seja perceptível por detrás da câmara. Uma boa ajuda para entender a ideia é trazer à memoria a terceira regra do Manifesto Dogma 95 de Lars von Trier e Thomas Vinterberg: durante a utilização da câmara são consentidos todos os movimentos - ou a imobilidade - devidos aos movimentos do corpo.

Os trabalhos enviados até 30 de Setembro serão alvo de selecção. Os trabalhos escolhidos serão exibidos no evento “Desafio Videolab#1” agendado para o final do corrente ano.

“Videolab Challenge#1”

Videolab Project has decided to challenge video artits to produce a short movie following some rules:

• must not exceed five (5) minutes
• it must not include human presence
• *Deadline: September 30
• Please do not submit works created before 2007.

• the human body must be inferred, be it for the movements of the camera or for all sorts of elements that you wish to include in order to suggest the physical presence of one or more human beings
• Videolab would like to have artists send us works in which the human body stays away in terms of image, but at the same time we feel its presence. A good help to understand the idea is to think about the third rule of the Dogma 95 mouvement: during the use of the camera all the camera movements owed to the movements - or the immobility -of the body are allowed.

Videolab will then select the works that best fit the concept, and will have them screened during the “Videolab Challenge#1 ”, scheduled to the end 0f 2007.
